The day Christmas Tata came to school- Trupti Aunty's group

Today when we all gathered for assembly, we were told that santa is coming to school. We were very happy that finally the day has come when "christmas tata" would come to school. We went to class and hunted out the ingredients for pani puri and lemonade and had a great time making and eating it. The chutney was "khara" for some of the genies but we all sipped it and polished off the puris from our plates.
We then went for a dance party and all of us had a great time with Vidya Aunty and danced away to the songs like hockey pockey and birdie dance.
While we were still dancing, all of a sudden there was a loud sound of drums, ghungroos, and many other musical instruments. Before we could guess who it was, there came our "Uncle Clause" with a bag of gifts and toffees. We all very enthusiastically ripped off the wrapping paper and were very excited to see a cap inside. We wore the caps till the party was over and we went home.
We all had a great day today .

We went out to the post office today. On post cards we had, as part of our previous activity on emotions, drawn out smiling face, angry face etc. We also wrote out a little message to our dear ones. The ride to the post office was fun filled and we laughed all the way to the post office, once there we put the letters into the big red and the small green post boxes and came back. Now we are waiting to see the post cards at home.

VOLUME PLEASE---- Trupti Aunty's session

Yesterday we had good fun communicating non verbally , as the role play for yesterday was non verbal communication. I did not talk a single word in the class till 12 pm and yet was able to communicate everything to the genies. And what was more interesting was that the genies too were managing very well. Many issues were sorted out by the genies themselves, some were being comforted by other genies if they were upset, and they all communicated with Aunty using actions.
When it came to reading a story, i started that too non verbally when some of the genies said," Aunty little more volume please". Another one said," Aunty you tell like once upon a time"....... but when i did not still speak, they very attentively "heard" or rather "saw" the story i acted out. We really had a great time. It also saved a lot of energy which is normally spent in speaking much more that required.

When we went up it was raining and we could not go out so some of tehm were a little upset . I made a real long face and said I am sorry I did not realise it was drizzling  so we can either sit near steps or go back to class. We all decided to go back and one little one told me it is ok girija aunty it happens . I had an open mouth expression when she said that . Amazing how they use their words!!!!!

Emotions!

Today, we had a fun session exploring different emotions and feelings. We saw a slide show of different emotions and explored when we feel like that and what we say at that time and also tried to role play what we saw on the screen. It was very interesting to see all the little genies trying to show emotions. We highlighted all the emotions being shown in the class . On one occassion, one genie was upset with the other and was showing it and when we also tried to role play the same emotion, the genie actually ended up laughing.!!!
It was a very interesting and satisfying session indeed   :)  :)

Girija Aunty-2-3years - 5/12/07- Dough Time

Hi
Today we were experiencing mixing of atta.Initially no body wanted to touch the powder.Suddenly one little genie smelled it and she recognised it as maav. One by one then they connected it to parantha ,chappati dosa etc. They enjoyedpouring water and when it became very watery one connected it to river and he was searching for fish in it.  One little one was singing rhymes with it like chatani meri bangayi and kept scrubbing her fingers and then she sang chapati meri hui hui hui. They enjoyed it more when the dough was stuck to their hands and it was not coming out  and it was getting more and more messy. Someof them made small balls with and others were trying to scrub it and each one's facial expressions was worht watching.

Shivani aunty- 3-4yrs - 4-12-07 - lines and curves!

We began our day with show and tell, showed caps and told stories from our favourite books. Colorful homework books talked about petrol bunks and signals, round and straight vegetables too. Snack time was full of sharing biscuits and pakodas, when all the pakodas were over promises were made to bring in more for dear friends at 2 o'clock ! We listened intently to our Jan- Feb story, how each month was special and found friends one after the other to make a calendar. We then went on to sorting letters with lines and curves for our calendar. Lines and curves were collected and stuck on A4 sheets as we made different things with them. Some made their own patterns, letters like H, B, A, ice cream man still remained the favourite!

Shivani Aunty - 3-4yrs - 29-11-07 - Petrol bunk.

We set up our own petrol bunk and got into our cardboard cars and motorbikes, some alone some in twos. Three of us enjoyed being stationed at the petrol bunk asking customers for how many rupees do you want petrol, then using the hose pipe to fill petrol. Bikers and car drivers filled in petrol very now and then and then took off to different destinations, for birdwatching, to park etc. One little khoji actually got all dressed to go out on a ride, she stood in front of the wall which was her make believe mirror and using a crayon pretended to put lipstick, bindi  put on beautiful clothes, smiled at herself and said now' I'm ready- Auntie do you want my lipstick? ' Wow all set to go !!

We were all in mood to sing a song.... Lakdi ki  Kati..... Everyone was smiling as they sang, while one of our friends seemed very confused.  It seemed he  was looking for something very important, under the books, around corners, everywhere. After putting in a lot of searching effort, he looked up and asked 'Auntie mera Ghoda kahan hey?'

shivani Aunty- 3-4yrs - 16-11-07 - Guns and roses

Hi,
as we are settling in with our new group, we have special ways of bonding with our new friends. Among the things that we love to do is to run together around the circle, share our snacks, see eachothers homework books. Some of us are very happy to have found new friends, but some are really missing their dear friends who have gone to another class. At one instance we were having snacks and talking about what each one had got, suddenly there began an exchange of angry words like I'll put you in the fire, I'll give you a punch....when these were replied with - I'll give a flower, I'll give you a hug, I'll give you many stars...said with the same intensity but with a smile, the little ones looked very confused in the begining and then burst out laughing!!

All of us screamed with joy and got into the cart one by one.The bells on the bull went tingling all the way as we sang our bullock cart song. As we rode along all the cars and vehicles patiently waited for us to pass by.On the way we waved out to little children, enjoyed the sunshine and then some doggies started barking with joy, wagging their tails, our little Khojis didn't miss the chance and responded back with a loud bow wow chorus. Chirdren's Day-Trupti Aunty's group

Today we celebrated Chacha Nehru's birthday at geniekids. We all played a few games in the sand and then came to the class to decorate and gobble up our muffins. We really enjoyed using the chocolate sauce cones and one of the enies in the class even had the sauce directly from the cone. It was nice to see the happy faces. We even had a new genie joining us today  and he too enjoyed the day with us.The highlight of the celebration was the bullock cart ride. We all sat in a bullock cart and enjoyed a big round in the neighbourhood. We enjoyed the sound of the bells on the bullock and even tried to role play the bullock and the driver too. On coming back to geniekids, we all went to class acting like the bullock. One genie even said thank you to the bullock cart driver for taking us for such a big ride. The passers by on the roads were surely surprised and maybe even envious of all of us enjoying the ride.

Shivani Aunty- 3-4yrs - 13-11-07 - Roll roll !

Today we explored rolling in different ways, began by rolling ourselves. Then we explored rolling small bottle caps as far as we could, which we really enjoyed. The most exciting part was rolling wheels on atta, when it was dry we could see a path on it and some of us recognised it to be the same as our cars on road, while when we used wet atta it got all stuck on the wheels and one little one said Oh! meri car ke wheel pe matti lag gayi, saaf karo saaf karo!!
We also made alphabet vehicles by fixing bottle caps on letters, some of observed that some letters rolled( H) freely while the others( A) did not, we also enjoyed playing with T as we pretended to clean our car glass with it! Rolling and playing with Alphabet was surely fun!!

Trupti Aunty's group-7 nov- diwali shop

Today we enjoyed being shopkeepers. We had made Diwali cards and enjoyed setting up our shops and selling our ware to Aunties who came to buy the cards. The shopkeepers were at first not ready to sell off their hard work but the sight of coins finally made them sell their ware. All the shop owners were domonstrating their marketting skillsto their best. The best was to following conversation between a customer and a shop keeper," how much for these cards?"
"two rupees"
" i shall buy this one"
" you can buy one more"
" but i dont have any more coins"
"tago ma, parvalla!"
We surely have learnt how to sell our stuff at this age itself!!

Shivani Aunty - 3-4yrs - 7-11-07 - Diwali dhamaka !

Diwali is around and little petals have been working really hard the last two days. They made colorful cards with different crackers pasted on them made from colored stripes of paper, spirals etc and decorated with glitter. Today we set set up our little card shops, we named our card market as - 'New Card Shop' Each one of us chose a cozy spot in our room placed a mat to sit on, our shops were decorated with streamers, diyas and had our names too. The whole place had a festive look. As we arranged our cards neatly in front of our shops, the first two customers came in!
We enjoyed showing them our cards and wanted to sell for 5 rs, but the customers wanted to buy only for 1-2 rs, some bargaining went on for a while before the first rupee was earned! And the proud owner was very excited and showed the coin around, Look what I got - MONEY !!! the customers went aroound asking about the cards, how they were made, the colors on them, shapes etc. All our shopkeepers were ambitiuos and quoted higher prices, customers were persistent in their bargaining too. Some shopkeepers were calling people to their shops and managed to sell all their cards. The entire experience was absolute FUN !!!

Trupti Aunty's Group- Aeroplane song

Today we came back from assembly and took off in a plane on a flight towards composing our own song. We wrote the letter A saying
up on the mountain and down again, sleep there to make an A.
Then we even went and explored how we can make A on the floor by lying down.
Soon we all thought of an aeroplane and all of us together made the following song on an aeroplane:
Aeroplane has wheels
we sit in it
and go to bom-bom
it is big
and goes up to the airport.

It was our first attempt to make a poem and were proud of it.

We even compared an aeroplane to a helicopter and had a good time with our songs.

Shivani Aunty - 2-4yrs - 26-9-07 - Reverse!

We explored Magnets today, some were small, some big, some had pretty pictures too.One was really powerful and could pick all the little baby magnets so easily. We also played the 'come, come, come and go, go, go' game with them. It was fun to feel the magnets and explore them, one of us figured out that sometimes the magnets wanted to move away from each other, it was such a thrill that he shouted 'Aunty its going reverse!' We really loved the magnets....

Trupti Aunty's Group-- magnet magic

Today was the day to experience magnets. We comfortably sat in a circle and were eager to follow the one by one code to explore the magic. When the magnets were passed around, interesting ideas were floating around. There were two circle shaped magnets and two rectangle shaped. They were joined together and some of us said it looked like a traffic signal, lolipop, etc. Then we found that they stuck to each other without any gum being used. Now that was magic indeed. After we had explored how they stick to each other, we tried sticking them on the stapler, and lo what magic, they stuck to the stapler too!. Can we now stick it to our dress? was the next question and we tried doing that, but now they were not sticking. We also tried it with the seeds and the plastic container, but they did not stick. It was indeed nice to see the smiling faces when the magnets stuck and more so when they did not stick and fell down. Now they stick, now they don't was the magic mantra today. I am sure the genies will be curious to explore all magnets in the house too.

Shivani aunty- 2-4yrs - 20-9-07 - Sensitive

Today just after the break, we had all finished keeping our bags outside and were entering our room, one of us fell down and started to cry! He sat on the floor and was sobbing, all the little khojis turned around and gathered around him. It was amazing to see how lovingly the little ones were gently stroking him and saying soothing words and asking him if he was feeling better....(Suddenly the atmosphere which was hustling and bustlling with action, turned very quiet), It didn't take long for all those warm feelings to seep in and our little khoji was back into action!

Trupti Aunty's group---Becoming the zoo keeper

Today we all explored how different animals move and what kind of sounds they make. We then listened to a story of how the wild animals in the jungle got dirty while playing in the mud and how the zoo keeper offered to help them in cleaning them up. Then we all became the zoo keeper ourselves and washed and cleaned the soiled animals in a tub of water. We were also very excited to use some fragrant liquid soap to wash them and then again washed all of the animals with clean water. Soon we realised we need a towel to wipe them or they would feel cold. So, we took two towels and carefully wiped all the animals and kept them in the zoo. It was very interesting to see one of us place all the animals behind the others and create a sort of a food chain in the jungle with the animals eating other animals. We really enjoyed using the soap and work up some lather in the washing tub. We did not want to go home but our pick up cards came and then seeing the pick up cards, we forgot our zoo and merrily walked away with our bags promising to come back tomorrow and meet the squeky clean animals again.

Trupti Aunty's Group-- Role play Auto driver

Today after our activity, we all wanted to move around and so we arranged the  mats in a row and made a train. The train then travelled to stations like Kolkatta, Trichy, Kerala, Chennai, Mumbai, etc. Then when the train stopped at a station, we got down from it and one of us spontaneously became the Auto driver and took us to our house. Then after a while, our Auto driver was probably tired and asked us to take another Auto. When I said that the other Auto is not ready to go, our dear friend started "scolding" the other Auto walla and told him to take us to our home. Then, he told us to get into the other auto and go. It was really very nice to see how minutely our friend has observed the interactions with auto drivers and between the auto drivers and also how he brought it in our small game in the class. We throughly enjoyed the train and the auto journey.

Trupti Aunty's Group-- Crown and Song

Today we listened to a story of a seed waiting to grow into a plant. Then, we coloured leaves, seeds, flowers and stapled them on to a newspaper strip and made a crown. then, we wore the crown and enjoyed singing a seed song. We acted as seeds waiting to grow and then as grown trees swaying in the breeze. We sang this seed song today:
i am a little seed
waiting to grow
packed tightly in a skin
as you all know.
Put me in the soil
give me some water
keep me out in the sun
and watch me grow.

We really enjoyed our dance wearing the crown and also were humming the song by the time we left.

Trupti Aunty's group- Planting our saplings

Today we all planted the marigold saplings we bought from the nursery yesterday. It was fun to keep the sapling in the small "hole" in the ground and to cover it up with soil. While we were doing this, we even got to meet a new friend,"mr snail". The snail was first coiled up in a round but as we planted our saplings, it slowly opened up and started moving. We were all so excited to see it that we did not want to go back to class even.

Shivani Aunty- 2-4yrs- 6-9-07 - Teacher teacher

We were enacting 'Teacher" and one khoji in our session decided to give everybody some sheets of paper and crayons. Paper was collected from the basket and kept aside and then distribution began; one crayon and one sheet of paper was being distributed to each student of our little Teacher. Suddenly the wind decided to blow away all the sheets all over the class, the distressed teacher looked around and said 'Oh ! My paper' and suddenly everybody enjoyed watching flying paper and the entire session including our new Teacher was laughing away to glory...

Trupti Aunty's group--Yummy orange juice

Today we started off by reading some old magazines to see if we could find the letter "g" in it. When we found some  "g" s we cut them and put it in the relevant packet as food for our friend Peek-Peek.
We also tried to write the letter "g" on slates and explored how it had a curve and two straight lines in it.
After snack break, we played fire in the mountain to pep us up a little as we had started yawning. Then, we talked about how mummy cooks in the kitchen and we eat in the dining room. Since we were to make some orange juice today, we decided to make our own kitchen and dining room in the class with some newspapers. All of us helped each other with great enthusiasm and even kept the cups ready in the dining room for everybody.
Then we squeezed the juice of the oranges using a squeezer. Soon we had some very yummy smelling juice ready. But it looked lesser than we expected and so we added some water. We also added salt and sugar to make it tasty. After the sugar dissolved completely, we took it to our dining room and enjoyed servings after servings of the juice. We  also cleaned up the place well and left the class with great satisfaction.

First day first show--Trupti Aunty's group

Yesterday was the first day of our group and we set off by exploring the room. We were all very happy to see so many books around. Our friend "bhalu"  ( puppet) took us around and showed all the other things in our new room. We also met two more friends Meow who gives us a magic word everyday and "peek-peek" who wants food from us everyday from magazines or newspapers.
Then we opened the newspapers to see what all it offered to us and decided to give our friend peek-peek food from there tomorrow. After having snacks, we made beautiful dining mats for ourselves which we will use for snacks once they are laminated.
When we went home, we were very happy with our new room and one of us even said it was better than the previous one.

I AM MY BEST FRIEND-Padma Aunty's group

Yesterday we made friendship bands by stringing straw beads in wool. It took us a long time for us to string a bead and then it kept slipping out from the other end. It was a bit tough to begin with but very soon we all got involved in doing it. When we finished making the band, Aunty told us that we can tie it on our  best friend's hands. We thought really hard for some time and then we wanted to tie it to our own hands. Afterall, "i am my own best friend"!!!!!!!!!!
It was really a nice feeling when we all could successfully string the beads in.

Sieving sand- Padma Aunty's group

Today we began our session with the practice of the Independence day song. After all our friends had gone to their respective classes, we sat in a cozy circle and observed a sieve. When asked what we can do with it, one of the children, who does not talk much otherwise, immediately said, " chapati maavu". They all then explored what all we can pass through the sieve through a small discussion. There were all sorts of suggestions like pencils, erasers, raagi, rice, etc as possible candidates for passing through the sieve. On being told that I have none of that, or that some of the items cannot pass through it, i asked what else can we use the sieve for. One of the children ,then, with a twinkle in his eyes said, "SAND"!!.And so off we went to the sand area to sieve the sand. We planned it well and carried newspapers along to collect the sieved sand to observe it. In the sand pit, we formed a train and took turns with the sieve. We observed and touched the sand which fell down from the sieve and which remained in it. It was rough or big in the sieve and soft and small when it fell below. We then went ahead and even wrote SAND in the sand with our fingers. We really enjoyed the experience today and came up to plunge into the next activity of the day.
Mammas can now look forward to some help the next time they want to sieve something in the kitchen for some tasty recipe.

Eating up our art work---Padma Aunty's group

Today we had a fun filled day. We began with our assembly and the practice for independence day. Then we straightaway plunged into our activity of the day-----making and eating up our artwork. We first planned on paper what we would be making with circle and square biscuits, carrot sticks and cheese strips. Then we practiced it using paper shapes and finally we actually created it with the biscuits, etc. We had things like the signal, lolipop, sprinkler, balzing yoyo, sun, flower, etc made with the food stuff. I was truely surprised to see all of the children actually making their artwork and not directly eating up the whole thing. Hats off to Padma Aunty for having prepared them so well in planning and executing a job, for all these days. Then after showing our friends our artwork, we ate it up with satisfaction. We also got extra helpings if we wanted. The best part was that we did not waste much food and actually ate up to our hearts fill, even the not so favourite carrots!

Hi,

Today some of the children made puupets and got it from home. The puppets
were connected to the library book which they had taken home. They were very
happy to talk about the puppet and more than that I observed that the though
they made it with their mama and papa was more important to them. More than
the character they wee happy to talk about that feeling og theirs.

Thank you mama and papa!!!!

Girija Aunty- 2-3 years 1/08/07- money Money !!

Today in myclass there was a bout of contagious crying for pick up card.
Tissues as usual was kept in a basket so as to make it easy for them to
take and clean themselves. children usually take it and after us throw it in
the dustbin when one little was wasting tissue paper so another child who
was observing all this askeds him "Are we not paying money and buying this"
- I was surprised at how she was associating wasteage with money.

Petals (Shivani Aunty's class)

The chant of the day was , " one by one, we wait for our turn". We are experimenting what happens when we all rush at the same time. We are also learning how we can do things one by one by patiently for our turn. Today we tried a bit of that when we were waiting for our beads. We  are slowly now understanding the importance of waiting for our turn.

Shivani Aunty- 2-4yrs - 26th July-Mr.seed

A little seed came to us today and said that he wanted to grow out of his shell. We all thought of a plan, how about laying a little cotton bed into a small cup and then giving enough soil for the seed to settle in. We made small holes in the soil and invited the seed to settle in for a while. A blanket was put over it to cover it. As we were picking soil to make a home for Mr. Seed, we met a little wiggly earthworm, he told us that he would feed the seed when he was hungry. All of us enjoyed making a home for Mr. Seed and finally sprinkling water over it with our fingers. We were very patient throughout and worked very neatly. Now we know that Mr. Seed is comfortably sleeping in his new home, we will water him everyday and sing a song for him too. We are eagerly awaiting the day when he will spring out of his bed and grow to be a little plant.

Today we were sowing seeds in small cups. Our little children were excited
to take mud in the shovel and they initially used the scooper but their
real joy was when they used their hands.

Petals-Shivani Aunty's group.

Today we explored how to paint our papers with coloured sand. Shivani Aunty gave out blank sheets to all of us and we all wanted to colour different things on it.Aunty asked us what all we can use to colour on the paper and we said crayons, pencils, paint etc. Then Aunty told us we will do it differently today. We were waiting patiently to see what Aunty was now giving us. Aunty gave us gum and we all dipped our fingers in it and drew with our fingers!!!!!!!!.Then we poured little coloured sand on our paper and put back extra sand in the tray and , VIOLA, our drawing was coloured with the sand!!!!!!!!
The best part was that we took our turn to go to the tray and use the sand. We really enjoyed it a lot. Then we all waited for our turn to wash our hands. We even said, one by one, one person in, others wait out as we waited out to wash our hands.
It was a lot of fun today. As we waited for the card to come, we used the blocks to make curves with it!!!!!.

Shivani Aunty- 2-4 yrs- 24 July-Birhtday

Chirag celebrated his birthday today, we all wanted to make it a special day for him. As part of our birthday celebrations, Latha Aunty and Trupti Aunty had made a birthday card and a crown. A special chair was brought in, but Chirag did not want to sit on it, neither was he keen on wearing the crown. The birthday card was specially signed by all his friends and Shreyas gave it to Chirag with abroad smile, Chirag radiated an equally beautiful smile back. Everyone of us at Khoj got chocolates and thanked Chirag for that. Khoji's from Dew drops and blossoms came to our room to sing 'HAPPY  BIRTHDAY.' Chirag was smilig and looked happy. Finally we did his favuorite dance and that really was the icing on the cake, Chirag danced till he went home today!

Going to the sea--Petals---Shivani Aunty's Group

I had a opportunity to be in the Petals group today. As I entered in, i saw all the children very enthusiastically "signing" their names on a birthday card. We were celebrating one of our classmate's birthday today. We sang him a song and he gave us chocolates. Then having settled on our favorite shape in a nice cozy circle, we enjoyed "show and tell". We showed our pillows to all and even spoke about it. Some of us even demonstrated how we use the pillow to sleep. Some of us had not brought our pillows for show and tell and were feeling bad about it. We have now decided to remind our parents to send our show and tell objects every Tuesday.

Today we started our activity by telling each other what we remembered from the movie we saw yesterday. Having spread newspapers, we took a few crayons and were all set to colour some sea creatures like the octopus, sea horse, fish and a star fish. One of us kept saying," i cannot do it", but with some help and encouragement, was able to make lines on the fish. Some of us even made circles on the starfish. Then having folded the newspapers nicely, we enjoyed going to the sea. We jumped, swam, and waded in the sea water with some nice music. We also learnt a fish song and really enjoyed reciting it. We then rowed our boats merrily down the stream and also enjoyed drenching ourselves in the rain which was falling in curves and lines. That sure tired us out and so we all quietly lied down to rest a while.

Our friends from the other classes came in to wish our friend on his birthday and we even danced his special dance. That really made him feel happy on his birthday.

Bonding

In a short span of time our group has bonded beautifully. Children know eachother's names, enjoy playing together, share stationery, sometimes offer sitting mats to eachother...One day one of the kids didn't come because he was unwell, his friend enquired from me as to why he hadn't come that day.

Trupti Aunty- Blossoms (Girija Aunty's session)

This week i had the opportunity to be with Girija Aunty's . I was a little apprehensive in the beginning because the children wanted their Aunty and not a new Aunty. I talked to them that Girija Aunty will be back next week and till then, we could all be together. To make them feel better, i suggested we could say Hello to Girija Aunty's Photo on the chart in the class. This idea was very helpfull as they felt reassured to see their Aunty's photo.
This week we explored various shapes and lines and curves. I was very satisfied that they could identify some shapes in the end. By the end of the week, the children also were comfortable with me and so was i with them.
I must say that i have had a good time with the Blossoms group and have learnt a lot from each child in the group.

curvy curvy curvy..

Hi,
It was all about curves and lines, so we sang a song about them. We enjoyed making them with our arms, hands and even fingers. Our chalks drew them on the slates beautifully, our crayons put the curves on our fish who had lost them and stripes on snakes who loved them, all the while one thing we enjoyed was singing along!

Trupti Aunty-Blossoms(Girija Aunty's Class)

We have had a fun time exploring different shapes this week.We explored the circle using a hoola hoop ring. We enjoyed passing through the ring by crawling and sliding. Mr. Goolu the circle was a big hit with the kids who even drew it on the board.
Using the "fire in the mountain" rhyme and stopping on a shape and identifying it was fun too. We also played "fire in the mountain" using different body movements like crawling, jumping, sliding, walking and not running which was a big hit with the children and was very usefull to get across the concept of the shapes.
We also became vegetable vendors and bought fruits and vegetables giving the vendor (plastic) coins.
I am looking forward to more on shapes tomorrow.

fun and exploration

hi,
It was all about being musicians, so we picked up an instrument each, some of us picked the bongo, some the manjira, i liked the cymbals.....And we had a enjoyable time exploring the sounds produced by different instruments. Each of us were imerced in our own world and one of our friends started singing loudly and danced to his hearts content. It was truely a musicians day out there!

settling

hi,
we have begun our third week at geniekids, we are nine friends together and our room is called PETALS, we come in the morning all bright and with beautiful smiles. We began the first week with our mothers coming along. We had lots of fun singing rhymes, playing games together and doing our activities too. The following week we were on our own, some of us missed home. Now we are settling and doing things on our own. We like eachother, eat and share our snacks together. Today we even remembered and sang our rhymes on our own. We brought our favourite toys and showed them to our friends, when we played a game of rings we waited for our turn and cheered all others while playing.

Girija Aunty- Show and tell.

Today was the first show and tell of the new Khoj session. Many children
got their favourite car and teedy bear. The moment one car was out everybody
wanted and the owner of the toy was "it is mine". but when all the toys came
out immediately the barter system started off as a natural process.
